Monkeying Around!

A day at the park! 20.5 months. Simon loves scoping out new neighborhoods for fun. It also gives us an opportunity to find different parks and playgrounds and doggie viewings! At the park, Sophia was really excited as she was watching adults and kids play basketball!! It must be all the KU basketball watching that she's been doing!! Our future cheerleader in the making!

Four Generations

Chuc Mung Nam Moi !! There is nothing better than watching Sophia spend time with Hoa Con, Hoa Ma, Lau Ma, and Lau Con. Here is a shot of the paper cranes that Lau Ma and Lau Con are folding for Aunt Cindy and Uncle Toan's wedding.

We spent a chilly weekend in Wichita, KS welcoming the new Lunar Calendar -Year of the Tiger.

Berries!

I think this iPhone blog application might work! Here is Sophia gobbling up some rasberries!!

January and February fun!

I am testing out an iPhone application to help me blog via the phone. Here are several iPhone candids while we enjoy the toddler years.

Year of the Tiger - Chinese New Year 2010

This year Chinese New Year is February 14th (Valentine's Day!) The Tiger is the third sign in the cycle of Chinese Zodiac, which consists of 12 animal signs. It is a sign of courage. Sophia was born in the year of the Rat. Enjoy the pictures!

"In Chinese, the Rat is respected and considered a courageous, enterprising person. People born in the Year of Rat are clever and bright, sociable and family-minded. They have broad interests and strong ability in adapting to the environment and able to react adequately to any changes.

They are gifted in many ways and have an easy going manner. They are active and pleasant, tactful and fantastic, and are able to grasp opportunities. They seem to have interests in everything and hope to participate in doing it and usually do it very well."
