Bedtime songs

Here is another favorite song we sing to Minicoops!

What a Wonderful World-Louis Armstrong

I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.

The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
They're really saying I love you.

I hear babies cry, I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll never know
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
Yes I think to myself what a wonderful world.

Bedtime songs

We love being able to find song lyrics and use our iPhone to help us remember tunes as we are learning new songs!
Here is an all time favorite!

music by Harold Arlen and lyrics by E.Y. Harburg

 Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high,
There's a land that I heard of
Once in a lullaby.
Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue,
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true.
Someday I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far
Behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me.
Somewhere over the rainbow
Bluebirds fly.
Birds fly over the rainbow.
Why then, oh why can't I?
If happy little bluebirds fly
Beyond the rainbow
Why, oh why can't I?

Our little chef helping Daddy! Toddler chores.

Making pancakes with Daddy. These days she is pouring her own milk and helping us set the table!

Our little chef

Useful Parenting and Baby sites

http://www.whattoexpect.com I like the weekly emails

http://www.gerber.com/public/ (interactive meal planning)  I make our own baby food but the Dr. tells us to reference this site to ensure we are on par with how much babies should be eating. But I find that you have to be realistic with what your baby can eat vs what's suggested serving wise. Also, sign up on all of these related sites to get free samples/coupons.

http://www.mamapedia.com/  Local forums which help provide local references from mommies in your area and more

Army crawling

I am looking at the daycare webcam and it tickles me to witness, for the first time, little brother doing his new "army crawl" skills!  He currently has 2 bottom teeth and loving his solides!

Outdoor fun! Summer 2011

It has been a brutal Dallas summer.
This week we celebrated our 10 yr wedding anniversary!

The cooler temperatures is bringing all of the neighborhood kids to the park!

At 9 months, little bro has grown 2 bottom teeth and successfully doing the army crawl!

Big Sis is now in Pre-K 1, in Big girl gymnastics, and still taking Emlers swimming lessons !

Exhausted from swimming at Hawaiian Falls

Lil Bro is exhausted from swimming at Hawaiian Falls. It was our first time taking the kiddos to a water park.

Big Sis has been taking swimming lessons at Emlers and she has no fear of the water.

We highly recommend Emlers.

Now that he's older than 8 months I plan to try edamame, broccoli, and tofu soon. They are harder to digest for babies younger than 8 months.
